From Pastor Meyer: This is a panoramic picture of our VBS closing program last night. All praise to our great and wonderful God for a record-breaking year. The most we’d ever had in one night prior to this year was 155 and that was last year. Our first night this year we had 225; Tues. we had 232; Wed. we had 226 in spite of a storm that knocked out our power and kept us from having anything on Thurs. night; and then with our power restored we wrapped things up on Friday with 216. A total of 277 different kids attended throughout the week. Mega kudos to our director Beth Runge! How she envisions all the decorations is way beyond me, but I’m sure glad she’s on our team. And a HUGE thank you to the 138 youth and adults who volunteered to make this summer event the biggest and best we’ve ever had. It got pretty noisy and wild and crazy at times, but every one of these children is precious to Jesus so they are precious to us.
