Children and Youth

We want Salem Lutheran Church to be a place where EVERY child feels welcomed and loved. We are aligning our ministries from the cradle to college so that our students leave here with a “Better Story.”

We recognize that if influences are combined it can make a greater impact. That is why we use materials by Orange (The ReThink Group). If the light of the church (Yellow) is combined with the loving hearts of families (Red) the result is Orange. If we are all working together toward a common goal it: magnifies our focus, synchronizes our efforts, and increases our momentum; which in the end results in a “Better Story.”

There are four PHASES in a child’s life from birth to college. A “Phase” (as explained by Orange) is a timeframe in a child’s life when you can leverage distinctive opportunities to influence their future.

The 4 Phases are:

  • Preschool
  • Elementary School
  • Middle School
  • High School

We offer a variety of Bible studies, activities, and outings for each age group to help them experience fellowship and build relationships with each other, their small group leaders, and most importantly Jesus.

  • Bowling, Volleyball, Dodge ball, 9 Square
  • Laser Tag
  • National Youth Gathering
  • Cardinal Ballgame
  • Christian Concerts
  • Age appropriate weekend worship events
  • Midweek activities for each age group during the school year
  • Confirmation (5th – 7th Grade)
  • VBS
  • Memorization Program
  • Nerf Wars
  • Miniature Golf
  • Water Balloon Fun

We also provide opportunities for children, students, and families to be the hands and feet of Jesus through multiple service projects throughout the year.
